3 Things You Can Do With Xbox Series S and X Developer Mode (And 3 You Can’t)
If you have an Xbox Series S or X, then you have Developer Mode enabled by default, and can start using it today. With some simple steps and the right accessories, you can start tinkering with your console’s features and make it do amazing things! But what about Xbox One? We’ve got that covered too! Change your Gamertag
One of the first things you can do with developer mode on your new Xbox Series S or X is change your Gamertag. To do this, simply go to the Settings menu and select Account. From there, you can choose Edit Profile and then Change Gamertag. Keep in mind that you’ll need to have an Xbox Live account in order to change your Gamertag. If you’re not sure how to get one, check out our guide here. Once you’ve selected a new gamertag, just type it into the box and click Save. Now when someone types your old gamertag into their console’s search bar, they will be prompted to update their friends list by adding a note that says Gamertag Changed.
Manage Game Passes
One of the most useful things you can do with developer mode is manage your Game Passes. This allows you to see which games are installed on your system, as well as delete them if you need to free up space. You can also use this feature to move games between your internal storage and an external hard drive. To do so, open a game that’s already installed in order to access the game details screen, then select Move from the pop-up menu that appears. A list of available locations will appear and you can simply choose where you want it moved before selecting Move again. Don’t worry about accidentally moving any files around because there will be confirmation steps at every stage of the process.
Edit game data
One of the coolest things you can do with developer mode is edit game data. This can be anything from tweaking a character’s stats to changing the outcome of a quest. Of course, you’ll need to know how to code to take advantage of this feature, but it’s a great way to customize your gaming experience. The downside? Any changes made through developer mode are permanent, so make sure you’ve saved before editing! You also won’t be able to load your edited games on other consoles that don’t have developer mode enabled. Modifying existing content: If you’re not interested in coding, don’t worry!

From adding new items or levels to making textures sharper or adjusting audio levels, there’s something for everyone.
