How to Delete the Last 15 Minutes of Your Google Search History on Android
If you’re like most people, you probably have some embarrassing or personal searches in your Google search history. Luckily, Google makes it simple to delete the last 15 minutes of your search history on Android devices so that it’s no longer available to anyone who gets access to your phone. Here’s how to do it!
Step 1: Open web browser
Open your web browser and go to your Google account. At the top right, click on your profile picture. In the drop-down menu, select Account. On the left side of the screen, select Data & personalization. Under Activity controls, select Web & App Activity. On this page, you can view and manage your activity.
Step 2: Open menu bar
To open the menu bar, first pull down from the top of your screen. This will reveal a row of options at the top of your screen, including a More button. Tap on this button to open a drop-down menu with more options. One of these options should be History. Tap on this to open your history page. From here, you can tap on the Clear all history button at the bottom of the page.
Step 3: Click ‘Settings’
- Click ‘Settings’.
- This will take you to the main Settings menu.
- Scroll down and tap ‘Accounts’.
- This will take you to a list of all the accounts associated with your device.

Step 4: Click ‘Google Settings
Once you have found and tapped on the ‘Google Settings’ app, you will be taken to a screen with several different options. Scroll down until you find the ‘Accounts & Privacy‘ section and tap on that. Then, tap on ‘Google Account.’ On the next screen, tap on ‘Data & personalization.’ On the next screen, scroll down to find ‘Web & App Activity’ and tap on that. Finally, tap on ‘Manage Activity.’
Step 5: Scroll down and click ‘Search’
If you’re signed into your Google account, all your search history is saved. To delete it, open the hamburger menu in the top-right corner of the screen and select ‘History.’ Scroll down and click ‘Search,’ then click the gear icon at the bottom of the screen. Select ‘All time’ from the menu on the left-hand side of the page, then use a slider at the bottom to delete up to 1 hour’s worth of data at a time. Clicking Clear All will wipe out everything that you’ve searched for since signing into your account.
Step 6: Find the section labeled ‘History’
Assuming you’re still signed in to your Google account, open the left sidebar and scroll down until you see the section labeled ‘History.’ If you’re not signed in, tap the three lines in the top-left corner of the screen and then select ‘Sign in’ from the resulting drop-down menu. Next, enter your password or PIN (if applicable) to sign in to your account. You can also use two-factor authentication if you have it enabled for security purposes. Finally, select the ‘Searches’ tab at the top of the list that appears and then find the line that says LAST SEARCHES.
